Making Your Own Massage Oil
At Kusala Life, we are always looking at ways to use Sweet Almond Oil and making your own massage oil is a fantastic way.
We had a lot of fun making our own massage oil. By mixing essential oils with our Sweet Almond Oil, (DIY style) we came up with a few successful blends that should be fun to massage your partner with.
So, why Almond oil versus another type of carrier oil ? Well, almond Oil is a non-scented carrier oil that the skin absorbs easily. The nutrition in Almond oil helps rejuvenate the skin making it feel smooth and silky after being rubbed down.
Try two of our favorite DIY massage oil mixes.
5 Tbsp Sweet Almond Oil
5 drops of Rose Essential Oil
5 drops of Orange Essential Oil
4 drops of Clary Sage Essential oil
Begin by mixing all ingredients in a small bowl that you can dip your fingers into. Then mix well. Start massaging selected areas with oiled fingers. If you need more, double the amounts in recipe.
Clary Sage essential oil helps eliminate stress, calming, and lowering inhibitions.
Orange essential oil has a fresh citrus smell which is also great in helping relieve inflammation, relaxing the muscles, and alleviating anxiety and depression.
Rose essential oil creates a feeling of warm intimacy by eliminating painful feelings and stabilizing emotions.
A Stimulation Blend ..
5 drops of Ginger Essential Oil.
5 drops of Black Pepper Essential Oil.
5 drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil.
3 drops of Orange Essential Oil.
Blend all ingredients together in a small bowl you can dip your fingers in. Apply oiled fingers to area of skin and massage in well.
Ylang Ylang essential oil is called the honeymooners oil for increase in libido, stimulating senses and opening up your emotions. This includes deep thoughts.
Black Pepper essential oil gives a sensation of warmth and spice, helping rekindle lost passion.
Ginger essential oil is great for increasing circulation.
