How and Why to Use Almond Oil as Your Carrier Oil
Carrier oils such as Olive, Avocado, Almond, Jojoba or many other such oils are used in a variety of ways. When looking at carrier oils you want it as natural as possible and cold pressed to preserve it’s properties. Keep them in a cool place away from strong light. Doing so will help it maintain its freshness.
Sweet almond oil is an excellent choice when considering a carrier oil. It is good for all skin types, is easily absorbed and is more stable than many other choices. It contains Vitamins A, E and B1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9, as well as proteins, monounsaturated fatty acids, potassium, zinc and many other minerals. Almond oil is great for skin, hair and nail health.
There are many way to use sweet almond oil. Try using it as a natural makeup remover or add a little honey and sugar for a facial scrub. There are many essential oils you can add such as lavender for a calming massage oil or rosemary, eucalyptus and/or peppermint for easing tight muscles. Comb a small amount through your wet hair for building stronger healthier hair.
